I finally finished Luke Cage today.
Luke Cage
I liked the first half of the season but I found the second half very boring. I liked Cottonmouth as a villain, mainly because I loved the actor since 4400, but also he was interesting. When he died, a lot of interesting went with him. Diamondback, on the other hand, was so boring. And annoying. Like get over it, dude. I just couldn't buy the personal stuff and coincidences to get Luke Cage to Harlem in the first place. I loved that during the final fight, when Diamondback was talking for the gazillion time about their mothers, one of the people on the sidelines just said, "seriously, you are talking about your mamas." It just seemed to be petty for a villain.
And the last episode was just a tad more preachy than it needed to be. I also don't care that much between a romance between Luke and Claire. I liked her more when she told him off early on. So this series started promisingly but fizzled out for me. It is not Jessica Jones for sure.

19. That book with a twist that felt like a blow to the chest. Tell me about it. (But warn for spoilers if necessary!)
I will be super boring here and say I can't think of one. I rarely react to books super emotionally - although I do cry a lot easier lately. So there wasn't a twist that ever sent me reeling. Maybe the end of Book 6 of Harry Potter. My favorite twist ever was in the book by Agatha Christie which was written in a first person, and that person turned out to be the killer. Very unexpected and clever.
