Long day. I think Tuesday is always my longest day.

I woke up at 6 to grade and graded 12 papers. Then I was teaching my writing class which involved giving my students a copy of an “A” paper of Paper 3 and a paragraph that was not that good to work on. And talking to some more students about the rough draft.

Then, I read a bit more of Boyarin article as I was waiting for my ride, since I want to have terms ready for students for Thursday.

And after I got home and took a small sanity break, I worked on Africa lecture. It is basically about medieval Africa, especially the Mali Empire and also some East African coastal trading cities. I know very little myself, so this is mostly reading my textbook and looking stuff up. But it is interesting since one of my best friends is married to a man who was born in Mali and she went to visit once. And I made the Powerpoint presentation. Now all I have left is to read the source on Mansa Musa’s pilgrimage to Egypt as I told the class we would discuss it.

I need to sleep. More grading tomorrow. This week is insane.
