It came out well. For eggplant, it really has to go with angel hair pasta too - something about that combination.
I'm usually very reluctant about trying fruits and vegetable that I didn't grow up with (I moved to America when I was twelve and some vegetables looked weird). But over the years I learned to like some - broccoli took a while, for example. Lately, I actually discovered I really like steamed brussel sprouts. As I get older, I'm more willing to experiment, though. And farmers' markets are great at making new things appealing.
